Help! My Electric Range Doesn’t Work At All!
1. No Power
You should confirm there is power getting to your over gas range, oven or cook top. Try checking for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker. Also, try checking the wall socket for power with a voltmeter. It’s possible for the power cord to disconnect or burn at the appliance. If that happens, the terminal block or the wiring might need to be fixed or replaced by a professional.
The Top Element of My Electric Range Doesn’t Work.

Understand that if element works intermittently or if it doesn’t get red hot at the highest setting, then your range may have a burned-out receptacle. Contact a professional to diagnose your range to if you need to replace the element and the receptacle.
